Over the weekend of 14 and 15 July a group of IoA Aikidoka from England and Scotland under the leadership of Sensei William Timms, paid a visit to the Shinbukan Aikido Club in County Roscommon in Ireland. This was a follow-up visit as a result of two of the Shinbukan members', Chief Instructor James Applegate (4th Dan) and Richard Whitfield (3rd Dan) taking part in the IoA Winter School at Spalding earlier in the year. The Shinbukan club has now decided to join the IoA and to follow our syllabus. We'd like to thank them for giving us a great time and we look forward to closer contact with them in the future.
